Retreat - 16-19 of MAy 2024


Welcome to a mindfulness and meditation retreat led by monastic students of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh founder of the Plum Village tradition.
Learn how to cultivate zen, presence, resilience, and joy in your daily life as a way of finding more freedom and stability to navigate challenging experiences.
This retreat will offer meditation in various formats (guided, walking, eating), live talks, Q&A, deep relaxation and sharing circles; all practices that will benefit beginners as well as experienced practitioners.
The planned activities will be led by experienced monastics:
• Jem Fredhamn (dharma teacher)
• Brother Phap Xa (monastic brother from EIAB in the Plum Village tradition)
• Brother Troi Khiet Tam (monastic brother from EIAB in the Plum Village tradition)

We offer a range of ticket prices.
Plum Village hopes to be open for as many people who want to come, whether they are more or less well-off. Those who need financial help will benefit from your donation. For those who are more well off, you can help by choosing to pay a percentage more than the normal cost of the retreat. This will go to support those who are unable to pay full price.

Note that your registration is not finalized until you confirm your attendance by submitting your payment within three calendar days following your initial registration.
Cancellation policy
There is a cancellation fee of
- 20% of the price for cancellation until the 13/04/2024
- 100% of the price thereafter.
Retreat

Organizers
The retreat is organised by three swedish sanghas in the Plum Village community:
- Wake Up Lund
- Sangha Malmö,
- Wake Up Stockholm.

All three communities, gather on a regular basis to practice mindfulness in order to take care of ourselves, nourish happiness and contribute to building a healthier and a more compassionate society. Please get in contact with us if you wish to receive more information regarding regular gatherings.
This event is not for profit and completely organized by volunteers. Our wish is to make the Plum Village teachings accessible to people across Sweden.
Plum Village Tradition

Venue
The mindfulness weekend will be held at a Mundekulla retreat center in Kalmar County.
Meals
We will offer meals vegan meals for everyone during the retreat. This includes:
- Dinner on Thursday (arrival day)
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday and Saturday
- Breakfast on Sunday (departure day)
Accommodation
The registration for the retreat includes a bed in a shared room (alcove) with shared bathroom.
We respect the privacy and identity of all our participants and strive to accommodate participants in gender-designated rooms, however, we may not be able to provide a dedicated non-binary room due to limited resources. Therefore, in the registration you will be asked about your preferences regarding lodging.
Please note that the registration to the event, does not include bed-sheets or towels. Each participant should bring their own or rent a set at the place for an additional 150 SEK.
Mundekulla also offers the possibility of upgraded accommodation for an additional cost. More information regarding these upgrades is available in the registration form. We will send you more details through email, if you are interested.
